Epic Aussie estate going to auction: Two pools, swim up bar, rooftop terrace, tennis court

Rivers Bend is at 14-16 Riverbend Ave, Carrara, on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Who needs to holiday in Milan or the French Riviera when you can revel in your own private Gold Coast estate complete with swim up bar, rooftop terrace, and an interior design rivalling a five-star resort.

Enjoying a north facing position and over 37m of main river frontage, ‘Rivers Bend’ at Carrara has just hit the market and includes a five-bedroom main residence, two-bedroom guesthouse and a lengthy list of ultra-luxe amenities.

The sprawling estate comes complete with not one, but two swimming pools, a swim-up bar, riverside entertaining terrace, rooftop pavilion complete with views to Surfers, and a tennis court, along with fully equipped gym, and a boat pontoon.

Natalie Miller purchased the property in 2021 with a clear vision of the family home she intended to create.

Michael Jordan-inspired home hits the market

Entertain in style.

The outdoor bar.

“I was inspired by the idea of a hidden estate – a sanctuary concealed behind walls,” she said.

“The Entrance features the ‘Rivers Bend’ wall, which not only provides privacy but creates a sense of arrival. We had a clear vision from day one.”

Set down a private driveway lined with date palms, the main residence boasts grand proportions and a timeless European-inspired design.

Entered via a Port Cochere, the home spans two storeys, and features formal and informal living spaces, with no expense spared on the property’s premium finishes.

The pool area is more like a resort.

The marble staircase.

From the Sovrano marble staircase with strip lighting and crystal chandelier to silk-blend carpets, hand-carved timber cabinetry, and gold-plated accents, every element of the home is carefully curated and meticulously thought through.

“Every detail has been considered to make this not just a luxury house, but a warm, welcoming home,” Ms Miller said.

Downstairs is devoted to living and entertaining, while the upper level boasts four oversized bedrooms including a palatial master suite with river views, a dressing room, and a luxurious ensuite with showstopping 1.2-tonne freestanding marble bath.

“It’s incredible to live in – the perfect balance of warmth and modern luxury,” Ms Miller said.

“With multiple fireplaces and smart home automation, everything is controlled at the touch of a button and the home’s position, set back from the water, gives us the privacy we were seeking.”

The wine cellar.

While the property offers a sense of grandeur, Ms Miller said its design, layout, and amenities also made it an ideal family home and the ultimate entertainer.

“It’s an incredible place to raise a family and to enjoy life to the fullest,” she said.

“Despite the size of the estate, it’s been thoughtfully designed with intimate spaces throughout.”

There’s no shortage of spaces to unwind and relax.

Including this formal lounge.

From the rooftop terrace to the outdoor living area, dedicated bar, and open arbour overlooking the river, the home features a range of entertaining zones to suit all weather conditions.

“Whether you want to lounge around the pool, enjoy drinks at the rooftop bar, or host lunches or dinners in the undercover alfresco spaces, there’s something for every occasion,” Ms Miller said.

There’s plenty of space to entertain.

Game, set, match: Anyone for a game of tennis?

Meanwhile, the property’s exclusive waterfront location allows it to enjoy a sense of

tranquillity while still offering easy access to Broadbeach, Surfers and all the Gold Coast has to offer.

“It’s rare to find north-facing, waterfront acreage this close to the heart of town,” Ms Miller said.

“We’re just five minutes from Pacific Fair and only seven minutes to the beach.”

‘Rivers Bend’ is listed with Michael Kollosche and is for sale by expression of interest, with submissions closing August 13.

“The moment the gates close behind you and you drive up the cobblestone driveway, there’s an immediate sense of tranquillity,” Ms Miller said.

“That feeling of comfort and calm is something very few homes can offer.”
