Beach shack tipped to fetch mega price

The beach house at 31 Jefferson Lane, Palm Beach on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

One of the last remaining beach shacks on the Gold Coast has hit the market for the first time in 70 years

Set to shake-up the real estate scene, the 1955-built house is on a 415sq m block in Palm Beach with 12m of beach frontage.

The home at 31 Jefferson Lane is going to auction on August 2 via Amir Mian of Amir Prestige Group.

“This property is more than just a home – it’s a piece of history, a lifestyle investment, and a canvas for future,” the listing states.

“The property also holds outstanding potential for those looking to renovate, redevelop, or simply enjoy a laid-back beachside retreat in one of the Gold Coast’s most tightly held locations.

“Whether you choose to restore its vintage charm, modernise to your taste, or explore redevelopment potential, this is a once-in-a-generation chance to secure one of the area’s most prized beachfront addresses.”

Soak up that view!

Jefferson Lane is well-known on the southern Gold Coast for its beachfront mansions and mega sales.

Last year, a Brisbane buyer splashed more than $40m on a 1525 sqm site over three titles on Jefferson Lane and Fourth Ave.

The off-market transaction was described as “monumental”, marking “the largest residential sale in the area’s history”.

It was the most expensive residential transaction on the southern Gold Coast to date, with the largest of the three amalgamated blocks selling for $25.3m alone.

PropTrack data reveals the median house price in Palm Beach is $1.756m, up 3.3 per cent over 12 months.
