A Balinese-style acreage with its very own motocross track is trying to lure cashed-up buyers to a lesser known part of the southeast Queensland hinterland. 

They’re likely to be impressed. The four bedroom, four bathroom home at 2-54 Bruce Court, Rocksberg boasts views over some of the Sunshine State’s most scenic landscapes: lush rolling hills stretching down to the coastal town of Redcliffe then out over the blue to Moreton Island.

Darren and his wife Alicia bought the land 21 years ago, camping on the property so their son could practice motocross. They first built a luxurious log cabin (which still stands) while they completed the main residence around 10 years ago. 

The property is their dream realised. 

“It’s a spacious Balinese-type resort; modern living at its finest,” said Darren. 

“The property is very peaceful and private, with no real close neighbours. And the views from up there are outstanding. 

“The land itself has plenty of features, including a flowing creek, swimming holes, camping areas and even a freestyle motorcross track, which can easily be removed, and its accompanying bar.” 

The entrance to this property is striking, featuring lush gardens, a tranquil fishpond, and a grand porte cochère. It’s fully equipped with air conditioning for summer, a woodfire for cooler nights, and includes one-bedroom, an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, plus a spacious outdoor deck. 

The property also provides two large storage containers, a machinery barn for tools and vehicles, a triple-car garage with epoxy flooring and internal access, plus a dedicated gym. 

With their children having now left home — their son now a professional motocross rider in the United States — the Masters have chosen to downsize. 

Agent Mark Cheney at First National Moreton, who has recently taken over the listing, said the property offers plenty of appealing features.
