Tracy Kleemann and her late husband Tim bought the property in 2007, bowling over its existing log cabin to create a home – designed by architect Tim Geue – that could equally house her young children and her older in-laws.

“It’s set up for a family – when we built, we built with the idea that my husband’s parents could stay here too, so everything’s all on one level, except for the cellar,” she said.

“It was designed so we could really grow old here, with wide hallways, big rooms and large showers, and it just so happened that our design lent itself really well to entertaining.

“We’ve had 32 people inside over Christmas and there was plenty of space.

“Plus it’s in a beautiful location, and that dam – as well as being beautiful to look over, attracts a huge variety of birdlife.”

The home has five bedrooms, a study, a theatre, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area; and a separate family room.

“Our daughter had a horse, so she would have friends come up and they would go horse riding, and the boys would have mates come up and they’d ride their motorbikes around the paddock,” Mrs Kleemann says.

“Whoever buys it will love it, it’s just that with only one of my kids still living at home, it doesn’t make sense for us to have such a big house.”
