Woodside mansion with conservatory hits the market

It has provided a private and relaxing haven for vendors Trevor and Pamela for the past six years, but now it’s time for someone else to call this stunning Woodside property home.

The couple bought the property at 36 Riverview Rd before the pandemic after moving from nearby Balhannah where they had spent the previous two decades, with Trevor saying there were certainly worse places to spend that tumultuous period.

“For us life just went on,” he says.

“You close the front gates and the world’s out there and with 74 acres we could walk the dog, go for a wander and do a few projects, so for us it was a lovely place to spend those years.

The Woodside property at 36 Riverview Rd has hit the market.

It has an impressive conservatory.

The kitchen overlooks the picturesque landscape surrounding the property.

“For us it was no great chore and it gave me a good excuse to plant some trees. We loved it instantly.

“It’s a quality property with attention to detail and with a lot of thought put into its design, not just the home, but the property and the landscaping and how that would all work together.

“It really has space, whether that’s internal or external – the rooms are large, liveable and homely.

“Plus the views over the immediate garden, the property itself and then the distant Hills and vineyards views to the Mount Lofty Ranges beyond are incredible and here, with the weather and the colour changes, you get to experience all four seasons.”

The couple are currently running a number of retired horses on the property, but Trevor says its scope is enormous.

“It’s lovely countryside and a very usable property, and you only have to go for a drive around the neighbourhood to see what people are using the land around here for, whether it be horses, vineyards, cattle, sheep and all those other hobby farm pursuits,” he says.

The home has four bedrooms, three separate living areas, a light-filled conservatory, a large utility/laundry room, a wine room, a mud room, a garage with workshop, and an abundance of outdoor entertainment spaces.

The home has a few different living areas.

It also has three bathrooms and four bedrooms.

Not a terrible view to wake up to each day.

“It’s fantastic for entertaining because of its size and spaces, and a very easy property to enjoy – it really blows people away,” Trevor says.

Now moving to be close to family, the couple say they will miss it terribly, but are looking forward to seeing someone else take full advantage of all it offers.

“Its location is spectacular too,” Trevor says.

“Because we’re between Woodside and Balhannah, everything you could possibly need is within easy reach.

“It really has been a fabulous home and a sanctuary for us, and would be great for either a family or some other empty nesters like us.”
