Top-producing Banner Team joins Compass, expanding DC-area presence

The Banner Team — one of the highest-performing real estate groups in the Washington, D.C., metro area — has joined Compass.

Led by principal agent Wendy Banner, the 13-agent team brings more than 100 years of combined experience and $2.03 billion in career sales to Compass.

The group most recently held the top spot at Long & Foster for gross commission income in the DMV region (D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia) in 2024.

Founded more than 35 years ago, The Banner Team is known for its full-service, client-focused approach across a range of property types — including luxury homes, new construction, estate sales and first-time home purchases.

The team has sold more than 3,500 homes to date and will operate from Compass’s office in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
