The Block 2025 Episode 36 recap: Sonny dobs in Britt and Taz and Han loses her cool
As Han accused the producers of rigging the game (again), Sonny dobbed in Britt and Taz for breaking the rules.
Having already butted heads with Han earlier in the week, Sonny turned his sights to his neighbours, West Australian cops, Britt and Taz.
His game of cops and dobbers began when Sonny noticed that Britt and Taz had begun laying the subfloor for their outdoor terrace.
While the teams had been greenlit to work on their landscaping throughout the season, they were not allowed to work ahead on any other spaces.
And that included the alfresco dining area, due to commence next week.
“To me that’s not backyard that’s alfresco,” Sonny said, casually planting the seed with foreman Dan that his neighbours were up to no good.

Britt and Taz cop a penalty for working ahead on their deck.
Britt and Taz argued that, because the terrace was outdoors, it was technically part of the landscaping remit. Dan disagreed and penalised them a day’s labour on the deck the following week.
Normally sunny-natures Taz was thunderous about Sonny’s actions.
“I am a bit annoyed that Sonny picked us up on a technicality,” he said.
Britt added: “We have different styles of playing the game.”
Dan then turned his attentions to Mat and Robby. Fed up, Dan laid down the law with the fun-loving hairdressers.
Complaining they hadn’t sought his approvals for the dirt under their landscaping project, he ordered the pair to dig it all up.
Unimpressed, Robby complained Dan should’ve spoken up earlier rather than waiting until everything was finished to cause them maximum damage and chaos.
“Are you guys ever going to put your hand up and say: ‘You know what, we made a mistake’?” Dan asked, sullenly.
Seeing Robby and Dan going toe-to-toe, unnerved Mat who covered his ears like a kid listening to his parents’ fight.
Mat reacts to Dan and Robby fighting.
While Dan was cracking down on the boys’ frivolity, he was only too happy to literally play the fool in this week’s challenge.
Harking back to the 1980s TV juggernaut It’s a Knockout, the teams were forced to take part in a series of OTT games at Kryal Castle rather than working on the five spaces that have to be revealed on Sunday.
The lure? $10,000 cash and a bunch of trees.
With a bevvy of returning contestants cheering (and jeering) them on and hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft perched atop thrones in regal garb, the frazzled teams competed in five rounds of worksite themed challenges.
Among the familiar faces at the games were 2022 contestants Tom and Sarah Jane (who did some classic over-sharing about her bladder control issues), 2020’s George and Sarah and 2023 sisters Eliza and Liberty (who were still on the prowl for men).
Desperate for cash, Han is determined to win a challenge.
Desperate for some cash, the competition brought out Han’s competitive side.
As such, the girls came out of the gates strong, winning a race while tethered together (thanks largely to Han sprinting ahead with poor Can being dragged along behind).
Beaten by Sonny and Alicia in the second round, Han dropped her toys, complaining the game was rigged (a familiar refrain).
“That’s bulls**t! I am not playing anymore, that’s bulls**t,” a furious Han complained.
But she did compete again. This time it was a digging challenge, which saw everyone finding tools in a giant sandpit and calling “Bingo” when they unearthed the full set.
Believing she had called “bingo” first, Han was incensed when the round was awarded to someone else.
In the blindfolded art round, Han couldn’t believe that Em’s rendering of Dan in his jester garb was deemed superior to Can’s scratching.
Han thinks the competition was rigged against them.
But it wasn’t until the fifth and final round that Han really lost the plot. Initially going into the round confident (being top of the leaderboard), Han was cranky when Scotty announced the last challenge was worth double points.
In a challenge that involved wheelbarrowing water over obstacles, a frustrated Han accidentally filled Taz and Britt’s bucket instead of her own after sloshing over the finish line first.
Realising her mistake, she tried to decant the water into her own bucket, only to spill the lot. The series of disasters left onlookers in hysterics.
The mistake cost them the round. And the game, leaving Sonny and Alicia to take out the $10,000.
Han lost it. There were tears. A storm off. And one of her signature tirades.
“That was ours because we were leading by a lot. And we got to the ramp first and we put a lot of water in the bucket. It’s rigged.”
Finally, and tentatively, Can tried to hose her down.
“It’s not rigged!” she snapped, rolling her eyes. “We put it in the wrong bucket.”
