Sophie Cachia and Madison Prespakis sell Tullamarine home

Influencer Sophie Cachia and AFLW star Madison Prespakis have sold their Tullamarine family home in a $1.165m deal that was inked weeks earlier than expected.

Cachia, a former reality TV contestant who appeared in Australian Survivor in 2021 and businesswoman with more than 260,000 Instagram followers, purchased the home in 2021, before transforming it into a high-end retreat with partner Madison Prespakis.

After her appearance in the Brains v Brawn season of Survivor, Cachia launched her own pyjama label and released a best-selling memoir Then There Was Her before becoming a prominent podcaster and influencer.

Their property sold for $1.165m.

Prespakis is a premiership-winning AFLW midfielder who won the league’s Best and Fairest in 2020 while playing for Carlton.

The four-time all-Australian transferred to Essendon in 2022 as a marquee signing for their inaugural women’s side.

Their property had been listed with a $900,000-$990,000 price guide and was scheduled to go under the hammer this month.

Matthews Agency director John Matthews said he had expected it to go well.

“The property presented magnificently,” Mr Matthews said.

“It was marketed fantastically, and obviously had a lot of exposure through Sophie’s profile and reach.

“The buyer was from Adelaide. Sophie said, ‘Yep, sell it early,’ and it was a good offer, $175,000 above the top of the range, so we locked it in.”

The backyard includes a private pool and hedged gardens, all set behind secure front gates and ideal for families.

A sweet nursery-style bedroom offers flexibility for young families, guests or as a future study.

Mr Matthews said the result highlighted continued demand for well-renovated homes with personal flair.

“It just shows that if a home is beautifully presented and well-designed, there’s always a buyer out there, and in this case, one happy to act early,” he said.

The renovated four-bedroom property attracted attention for its stylish interiors, designer kitchen and luxurious finishes, and the fact it was home to one of Melbourne’s most followed personalities.

Their update added a sleek kitchen with a statement island bench, custom joinery, bold feature walls, and a landscaped back yard ideal for entertaining.

“The most important thing to us when designing the home was to have a large open-plan living and dining space that was family-oriented,” Cachia previously told the Herald Sun.

“We’re big entertainers, and we spent a lot of time curating the home to reflect our lifestyle and personality, there are subtle nods to both of us throughout.”

The property’s interior boasts striking finishes, including matte black tapware, polished concrete floors, and bold lighting fixtures.

Outside, an oversized deck and firepit offer the perfect setting for relaxed gatherings.
