Resort-style pool, pickle ball court among highlights of modern farmhouse

64 Hillview Parade, Ashmore comes with a pickle ball court.

A touch of country comes to the Gold Coast in an English-inspired home with its own resort style pool and a private pickle ball court.

Set on an acreage block in a tree-lined street, 64 Hillview Pde, Ashmore was completed only two years ago and includes a five-bedroom main residence, six-car shed, and a self-contained one-bedroom studio with kitchenette.

The house commands attention from the street.

Tina and Beric Lynton purchased the property in 2017 with the intention of building their dream home.

“We knew we wanted to build,” Ms Lynton said.

“The property had a really old house on it that we lived in while we decided what we wanted to do.”

The aim was to create a country-style estate with a relaxed, modern feel and amenities that rival a private resort.

The property features landscaped gardens.

Set behind a stately fence, the home features recycled brickwork against light render creating a contemporary yet timeless farmhouse vibe.

“We wanted a modern country feel that was relaxed and not ostentatious,” Ms Lynton said.

Spanning two storeys, the main house boasts an entertainer’s kitchen with butler’s pantry, open plan living and dining area, gym, cinema, triple garage, and guest bedroom on the lower level.

Upstairs is an additional living area, an office, three further bedrooms and a vast master suite with dual walk-in robes.

“The house is fabulous as everyone has their own space,” Ms Lynton said. “It just works so well.”

Beyond the main home is the studio overlooking a pickle ball court, leading to a pool terrace complete with 12m swimming pool, spa, and a poolside cabana with bathroom and outdoor kitchen.

The pool pavilion also offers a sentimental touch, courtesy of its recycled timber beams and posts.

“My husband’s family used to own a car dealership and the timber used in the pool pavilion is out of their old Jaguar and Land Rover dealership at Southport,” Ms Lynton said.

Between the large main house, pool terrace, pickle ball court and level grassed yard, the property is ideal for entertaining.

“We’ve had lots of gatherings and barbecues here,” Ms Lynton said. “You could have a party here for 200 if you wanted to, there’s so much space and it’s such a big block.”

The property also suits intimate gatherings and small family get-togethers, with Ms Lynton reflecting she loved nothing more than spending a quiet evening relaxing by the outdoor fire with her husband.

“And it’s a fabulous house for when friends and extended family come to stay from overseas or interstate,” she said.

Meanwhile, a six-bay shed completes the estate-style feel, and Ms Lynton noted it had all the infrastructure in place for the installation of a car hoist.

“It’s a home that’s ideal for young families, those with teenagers, multi-generational families and also car enthusiasts,” Ms Lynton said.

“There’s room to run around and it’s so close to everything, but you have this sense of space around you, and the neighbours are amazing.”

The property goes to auction on May 30.

Slated to go to auction on May 30, the property offers the opportunity to move into a near new home that has everything.

“It’s a relaxed country estate that’s an ideal family home, with nothing left to be done,” Ms Lynton said.

The property is in a sought-after Ashmore enclave within easy reach of Surfers Paradise, schools, and shopping precincts, and is listed with Eddie Wardale and Michael Kollosche of Kollosche Broadbeach.
