Whitford Newtown agent John Moran said a young local family had snapped up the four-bedroom house.

“We ended up getting multiple offers on it in the end,” Mr Moran said.

“It was all renovated and extended and was one of the best entertaining areas I’ve seen.”

The property first hit the market with $2.3m to $2.5m price hopes. Price expectations were lowered as the campaign continued.

“It was a bit of a slow start, but the market is patchy and then towards the end they all started coming for it,” Mr Moran said.

The owners paid $636,000 for the original two-bedroom house in 2016.
