HW Media acquires The Builder’s Daily, expanding into the homebuilding vertical

DALLAS, TX — July 15, 2025 — HW Media, the parent company of HousingWire, has acquired The Builder’s Daily (TBD), the trusted editorial voice for the homebuilding industry. The acquisition marks a significant step in HW Media’s strategy to deliver market intelligence, editorial excellence and professional community across the entire housing ecosystem — from new home construction through real estate and mortgage, including title, valuation, secondary and servicing.

As part of the acquisition, John McManus joins HW Media as Publisher of The Builder’s Daily and Vice President, Homebuilding. With decades of leadership and deep credibility in the industry, McManus will guide editorial and strategic growth across HW’s new homebuilding vertical.
