eXp Realty launches AI assistant ‘Mira,’ AI training program

eXp Realty has announced the launch of two major artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives; Mira, a new AI-powered business assistant — and the eXp University AI Accelerator Series, an eight-week program aimed at helping agents learn to integrate AI and automation.

Unveiled Tuesday at eXpCon Miami, Mira allows agents to instantly access real-time business data, navigate tools and perform tasks through voice or text in English, French or Spanish.

The tool combines eXp’s proprietary data systems with natural language processing to simplify how agents interact with information and manage their businesses.

Leo Pareja, CEO of eXp Realty, told HousingWire that the technology represents a shift toward more intuitive, conversational interfaces.

“Over the next couple of years, we will see the traditional B2B enterprise software that we’re used to disappear,” he said. “Most enterprise B2B software is a user interface layer sitting on proprietary data, where you have fields and displays and screens of information that are proprietary to the enterprise.

“What’s happening now, in real time, is everything is going to be a conversational chat, whether it’s verbal or typed into an AI that can pull contextual information immediately. Just think of the interface of the future as being the same style of communication and interaction, just sitting on top of proprietary data.”

Mira gives agents real-time insights into their production, revenue share and payouts while streamlining access to eXp systems through single sign-on.

The system sits on a closed, secure network that connects directly to eXp’s internal databases.

Mira became available to all residential agents in the U.S. and Canada at the time of its unveiling during eXpCon Miami.

AI Accelerator Series: Training agents for the future

Launching Oct. 28, the eXp University AI Accelerator Series will provide nine live sessions taught by 11 AI trainers and coaches.

The free program — part of eXp University’s NeXt Agent technology training — covers areas such as AI-assisted marketing, CRM optimization and automating lead follow-up systems.

Pareja said the initiative is designed to help agents overcome uncertainty around AI and focus on using it as a practical tool.

“When I talk to agents across the country, sometimes I think there’s a little bit of analysis by paralysis. [They’re] not sure where to start,” he said. “So we designed an eight-week course, and we were lucky enough to get our best practitioners to help us teach it.

“We’re walking through AI as your personal assistant, AI plus social media, AI plus vibe coding, plus marketing, plus attraction, plus teams optimization. What we want is to help people dive in and figure out how to integrate AI into their daily life.”

He added that agents should focus on using AI to enhance — not replace — human connection.

“Because of [the] AI that’s coming, I think human experiences are going to be a premium, and people need to think of AI as a tool to help them do the things that are not human experience based,” Pareja said. “If you can get to a lead faster and complete tasks faster, it frees you up to be on the phone or in person with human beings.”

Balancing technology and human expertise

As automation takes on more administrative work, Pareja said the real differentiator for agents will be their expertise and ability to build authentic relationships.

“I think this is a skills-based market — low transaction counts, high anxiety. Sellers have difficult decisions to make, and buyers are confused by the headlines,” he said. “You have to have a trusted advisor who’s an expert in that market. Humans have access to all the information in the world, and the ability to intelligently articulate it, as an advisor.

“Everyone is going to become numb to the AI slop that will kind of litter the internet, and it’s going to be about doubling down on real experiences. If you’re using AI to get the appointment, you better know what you’re doing at the appointment and be able to deliver value in person.”
