Classic car dealer relists spruced up Darling Point waterfront

21 Sutherland Crescent, Darling Point has been spruced up for a spring sale.

Classic car collector and art dealer Alex Holland has spruced up his Darling Point waterfront and relisted it a year after “testing the market” with hopes above $40m.

Now the six-bedroom home on a 617sqm block at 21 Sutherland Cres has expectations in the “high 30s to early 40s” range with Highland Double Bay Malouf veteran Bill Malouf.

“It’s been recarpeted, repainted and it’s really lightened the place up,” Mr Malouf said.

“It looks good inside and outside and the buyers who have been through like the position and the marina berth.”

He points out that a marina berth is rare. Nick Scali furniture chief executive Anthony Scali recently paid $33m for his neighbour’s house in Wolseley Rd, Point Piper, which came with a jetty but is on a smaller 562sqm block.

There are multiple formal and casual living zones, a gourmet island kitchen with ILVE appliances, and self-contained staff or teen quarters.

The home is now much lighter and brighter, thanks to its recent paint job.
