City and water views elevate prestige lifestyle at Harbourside Residences

Sydney’s waterfront has long been one of the city’s most desirable addresses, but the evolution of Darling Harbour is redefining what prestige living looks like.

A $15 billion rejuvenation of the precinct is transforming it into a destination where culture, convenience and harbour views come together.

For buyers, it is reshaping what it means to live in the heart of the city while enjoying a sense of privacy and calm.

At the centre of this renewal is Harbourside Residences, Mirvac’s landmark tower rising 48 storeys above the western harbour edge.

The new release focuses on upper-level three- and four-bedroom homes, offering panoramic views across the harbour and CBD, Anzac Bridge and out to the Blue Mountains.

“Opportunities to live right on Sydney Harbour are rare,” says Warwick Bible, General Manager, Residential Development NSW at Mirvac.

“Harbourside offers something no other Sydney location can, a unique perspective of the skyline from the western harbour shore.”

Mirvac’s Harbourside Residences is set to be a landmark new tower in one of Sydney’s most vibrant precincts.

A precinct on the rise

Once home to the Harbourside Shopping Centre, the site is now positioned at the heart of Darling Harbour’s revival.

Connections to Pyrmont, the CBD and Sydney’s cultural institutions are drawing buyers who want proximity to the city while enjoying a neighbourhood feel.

The planned Pyrmont Metro Station, along with ferry and light rail links, will further enhance its reputation as one of Sydney’s most connected waterfront addresses.

“Harbourside Residences is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to live in unsurpassed luxury, with extraordinary views to the north and east across Sydney Harbour and westward over Anzac Bridge,” Mr Bible says.

Design that speaks to place

Harbourside Residences brings together international architecture by Snøhetta and Hassell and interiors by Bates Smart.

The plans were also informed by consultation with Indigenous design advisers Djinjama and Indigenous cultural adviser Rowena Welsh-Jarrett.

The result is a building designed to sit naturally within its harbourfront setting.

Inside, a natural material palette and bespoke inclusions reflect the project’s prestige positioning.

“At this premium level buyers expect a high degree of personalisation,” says Mr Bible.

“Bates Smart has created options that allow residents to tailor their home while maintaining a timeless design language.”

The interiors of each Harbourside Residences apartment are designed to be timelessly elegant.

Wellness and lifestyle at your door

As Darling Harbour evolves into a lifestyle destination, Harbourside Residences will complement the precinct with an entire floor dedicated to wellness and leisure.

Residents will enjoy a gymnasium, spa, indoor lap pool, sauna, steam room, ice bath, yoga and Pilates studio.

Club-style spaces include a residents’ lounge, private dining room with show kitchen, cinema and golf simulation room.

Landscaped gardens and a lagoon pool open to sweeping harbour and city views.

A 24-hour concierge and porte cochère entry add to the sense of privacy and ease.

The stunning lagoon pool is just one of Harbourside Residence’s signature luxury amenities.

Legacy and trust

The first release of Harbourside Residences in late 2024 sold out in a single weekend, generating more than $700 million in pre-sales.

More than 95 per cent of buyers were locals, and over 40 per cent were repeat Mirvac purchasers, reflecting trust in the brand’s 53-year history and 5 Gold Star iCIRT rating.

The latest release is expected to attract strong interest from downsizers, professionals, families, and Sydneysiders seeking a second or third home in the city.

Location, lifestyle and longevity

Beyond Harbourside Residences itself, Mirvac’s wider $2 billion renewal of Darling Harbour will deliver over 10,000 square metres of public open space, including a new waterfront promenade, a 3,500-square-metre park and $7 million in public art and activation.

The precinct will also feature 35,000 square metres of office and retail space with restaurants and international retailers.

Three-bedroom apartments are anticipated to start from $5 million and four-bedroom apartments starting from $7 million.

Sales are expected to commence in November, with appointments now open by appointment at the Harbourside Residences Display Gallery in Pyrmont.
