Brisbane mansion by builder Graya sells for mega price

A luxury Brisbane home with a Mediterranean twist has sold in a deal understood to be around $8.8m.

Named Palma, the high-end residence at 29 Towers St, Ascot was developed by celebrity construction firm Graya, who collaborated with Purdy Developments.

Heath Williams of Place New Farm negotiated the sale of the three-level home that included five bedrooms, five bathrooms and a six-car basement garage to a Brisbane family.

He declined to release the sale price, but confirmed it was a record sale when comparing price per square metre in Ascot.

It was on the market at offers over $8.8m.

Vendor Craig Purdy bought paid $1.495m in 2021 for the 694sq m block with 20m of street frontage.

“I’m just really pleased with the outcome, successful architecture and quality build,” Mr Purdy said.

The house, only completed early this year, includes several living zones as well as a private guest suite and built-in study,

Mr Williams said Brisbane’s prestige market was continuing to fire.

“That high-end turnkey product has been doing really well,” Mr Williams said.

“There’s a lack of good stock and the turnkey products are in really high demand.”

PropTrack data reveals the median house price in Ascot was $2.625m, up 10.3 per cent over 12 months.

The highest recorded residential sale in the suburb is $23m, paid for 2 Sutherland Ave, Ascot in 2024.

That sale set a new record for the most expensive home ever sold in Brisbane.
