Aussie cricket great Michael Clarke’s $20m mansion for sale

On the eve of the Ashes series, Australian cricket legend Michael Clarke has listed his luxury Sydney mansion with expectations of above $20m.

On the eve of the First Ashes Test, Australian cricket legend Michael Clarke has listed his Vaucluse mansion with expectations above $20m.

“It will have a two in front of it,” says listing agent Bill Malouf of Highland Double Bay Malouf.

Clarke is selling the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home, bought for $13.01m in 2021, having bought a larger six-bedroom mansion with tennis court and pool for about $20m nearby.

The new home is on a massive 1000 sqm block.

He’s updated the Mediterranean -style kitchen.

It was apparently the north-facing championship tennis court that bowled him over.

But Malouf, who holds the listing alongside Emma Potter, is expecting a strong response for his current home, which has had a nice reno since he’s purchased it.

It’s set on 784 sqm and has heated limestone floors, casual and formal living and dining, a study, gym.

The Mediterranean -style kitchen has been updated and there’s a pool with a Tuscan-style cabana and fireplace.

Clarke, who sold his former matrimonial residence with his former wife, Kyly, for $12m in 2021, has been inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame for his achievements as a player and captain.

He had a prolific career with over 8,600 Test runs and 28 centuries, having captained Australia to victory in the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

He was once ranked the best Test batter in the world.
