Angela Fleming lists Bellevue Hill slice of paradise for auction

One of the highlights of 12B March St, Bellevue Hill is its mosaic-tiled saltwater pool.

Angela Fleming, the widow of the late grocery tycoon Jim Fleming, has listed her slice of paradise in Bellevue Hill for November 18 auction.

The north-east facing four-bedroom, three-bathroom residence with garaging for four cars and mosaic saltwater pool at 12B March St has a $12m guide via Raine and Horne Double Bay’s Paul Langsam and Ray White Double Bay’s Adam Reichman.

The well-known philanthropist has owned the impressive property for a decade, having purchased it for $6.5m in November, 2015.

She’s now looking to make a seachange.

The well-known philanthropist has lived in the stylish home for a decade.

She’s now planning to make a seachange.

Angela has traded a range of quality homes since Jim, who started the Flemings and Jewel supermarket chains but was also one of Australian racing’s most influential men, died after a short illness in 2007.

She’d spent just a couple of years in a Point Piper apartment, previously owned by mining executive Ian Stolyar, that she’d bought for $12.3m late 2013 and sold in July 2015.

Another Bellevue Hill home, Donnington Grange, sold for $19m in 2014 and their Palm Beach home Anakela, had been first to go for a record $15m in 2007.

But it’s hardly surprising she’s hung onto her March St abode so long — it’s a perfect luxury residence in one of the most desired streets in Bellevue Hill.

It’s both private and elegant, centred around an open plan living area leading out onto an entertainer’s level courtyard with motorised vergola awning, overlooking the pool.

The lavish master suite features a built-in wardrobe, coffee nook/fridge and its own covered terrace with harbour and city views.

There are high-end finishes throughout, mother of pearl tiling in the master bathroom, venetian plastered walls, onyx vanity and console tables, and marble floors.

It also comes with central heating and ducted air conditioning, heated floors and an electric fireplace.

The sleek gas kitchen has a breakfast bar, Miele appliances and Subzero fridge with walk-in pantry. There’s also a spacious laundry room and butler’s pantry.
